Privacy Policy — We Math

Last updated: July 25, 2026 · Effective: July 25, 2026

In short. We Math collects no personal data at all. There is no account, no backend and no network connection of any kind — except Apple's own StoreKit system when you choose to subscribe. Your child's first name, avatar, class level, progress and points stay only on this device. No ads, no analytics, no third-party SDK, no tracking, ever.

1. Who we are

We Math is operated by wewe (Werner Masseglia), Rue d'en haut 33, 7830 Silly, Belgium. Contact: werner.masseglia@gmail.com.

Website cookies & analytics

This section covers the website (wewe-apps.web.app), not the mobile app. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use the site. It runs in Google Consent Mode: no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent until you accept via the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed. You can change your choice at any time through the “Cookies” link in the footer. Analytics data is processed by Google — see Google's Privacy Policy. The website needs no account and collects no other personal data.

2. What data the app handles (all on your device)

We Math stores information only locally, using Apple's SwiftData framework, inside the app's own private storage area on your device. It is never uploaded, synced to a server, or seen by us. Depending on how your child uses the app, this may include:

None of this ever leaves the device. There is no account, no login and no cloud sync in this version of the app — iCloud is not enabled in v1.0.

3. No third parties, no ads, no tracking

We Math contains no advertising SDK, no analytics library, and no crash-reporting or tracking tool of any kind. The only outside connection the app ever makes is to Apple's own StoreKit system, to process the optional subscription purchase — we do not receive your payment details, and Apple's own privacy policy covers that transaction. We do not sell, rent or share any data, for the simple reason that we do not collect any.

4. How we use information

The only “processing” that happens is on your child's own device: remembering their name and avatar so the app feels personal, tracking which lessons are done so difficulty can adapt, and saving points and preferences between sessions. None of it is used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond making the app work for your family.

5. Legal basis (GDPR)

PurposeLegal basis
Core functionality (local profile, progress, preferences)Performance of a contract — data never leaves the device
Subscription purchase & billingHandled entirely by Apple, under Apple's own legal bases
Legal requestsLegal obligation

6. Sharing

We share no data with anyone, because we hold none. The only party involved at all is Apple, which processes the subscription purchase through the App Store and Family Sharing. We do not sell personal information — we have none to sell.

7. Retention & deletion

Data stays on the device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting We Math deletes everything immediately and completely — we hold no copy anywhere. An “Erase my data” button in the parent area also lets you wipe the child's profile and progress without uninstalling the app.

8. Your rights (GDPR — EEA/UK/Switzerland)

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent and to complain to your supervisory authority. Since We Math holds no personal data on any server, there is simply nothing for us to look up, correct or delete on our side — your data lives on your device, fully under your control, and you can view or erase it at any time in the app. Belgian authority: Autorité de protection des données.

9. Children & parental controls

We Math is built for children aged 4 to 12, and its whole design starts from that: we apply strict data minimisation — nothing about your child is ever transmitted, profiled, or used for advertising. There is no behavioural advertising and no profiling of children in this app, ever. The subscription screen, the parent/settings area and the “Erase my data” control all sit behind a parental gate (a simple maths check) so a young child cannot accidentally start a purchase or change settings. Parents remain in control of the subscription at all times through their own Apple ID / Family Sharing settings.

10. Security

Your child's data is stored locally using Apple's SwiftData framework, protected by standard iOS file protection. Since nothing is transmitted, there is no server-side breach risk on our part. The one point of contact with a third party — the subscription purchase — is encrypted and handled entirely by Apple.

11. Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time; the “Last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be flagged in the App.
