Privacy Policy — We Boat

Last updated: June 6, 2026 · Effective: June 6, 2026

In short. We Boat needs no account and no login. We don't collect your name, email or precise location. Your study progress stays on your device. The only data leaving your device relates to advertising (Google AdMob, free version) and anonymous crash/ performance reporting. Buying We Boat Pro removes ads.

1. Who we are

We Boat is operated by wewe, Rue d'en haut 33, 7830 Silly, Belgium. Contact: hello.wewe.apps@gmail.com.

2. Information we handle

You provide directly

None required — no registration. We do not collect names, emails, phone numbers, addresses, or payment details (purchases are handled entirely by Apple).

Stored locally on your device (not sent to us)

Study progress, scores, mastery and quiz history; preferences (language, theme, haptics, licence region); notification settings; and on-device usage statistics that power the in-app “Am I ready?” dashboard and never leave your device.

Collected by third parties (free version)

Google AdMob may collect a device/advertising identifier, IP address, coarse location and ad-interaction data to serve contextual or (with consent) personalized ads — see Google's Privacy Policy. Anonymous crash/performance diagnostics may be collected to fix bugs.

3. How we use information

To provide and improve the App (save progress locally, fix bugs), remember preferences and tailor content to your licence region, display advertising in the free version (contextual; personalized only with consent), send local study reminders if you enable them, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

10. Security & international transfers

Reasonable technical and organizational measures; content stays on your device; transfers to partners (Apple, Google) use encryption in transit and lawful transfer mechanisms (e.g. SCCs).

11. Advertising, tracking & notification choices

App Tracking Transparency permission is requested before any cross-app tracking; EEA users see a Google consent message (revisit via Settings › “Manage Ad Consent”); buy We Boat Pro to remove ads; pedagogical notifications are off by default, opt-in and fully local.

12. Changes

We may update this Policy and will post a notice in the App and update the date above.
